TRAC is the Youth Work and associated skills training and development programme delivered and co-ordinated through a Service Level Agreement with the Youth Work in Cumbria Partnership (YWICP). YWICP is a partnership between Cumbria County Council, Connexions Cumbria, and Cumbria Youth Alliance).

Purpose of TRAC

To equip the staff and volunteers within the partnership with the necessary skills, knowledge, competencies and behaviours to make a positive contribution to the delivery of high quality youth work.
To build a learning culture across the Youth Work in Cumbria Partnership
To develop, monitor and intergrate Youth Work professional development pathways.

Main Objectives

To increase the number of full time equivalent professionally qualified Youth Workers within the Partnership.
To ensure that quality standards and quality procedures are embedded within participating organisations.
Work with organisations to develop appropriate training and development opportunities thereby ensuring that young people have access to high quality provision.
