TRAC
is the Youth Work and associated skills training and development programme delivered and co-ordinated through a Service Level Agreement with the Youth Work in Cumbria Partnership (YWICP). YWICP is a partnership between Cumbria County Council, Connexions Cumbria, and Cumbria Youth Alliance).

Purpose of TRAC
  • To equip the staff and volunteers within the partnership with the necessary skills, knowledge, competencies and behaviours to make a positive contribution to the delivery of high quality youth work.
  • To build a learning culture across the Youth Work in Cumbria Partnership
  • To develop, monitor and intergrate Youth Work professional development pathways.
Main Objectives
  • To increase the number of full time equivalent professionally qualified Youth Workers within the Partnership.
  • To ensure that quality standards and quality procedures are embedded within participating organisations.
  • Work with organisations to develop appropriate training and development opportunities thereby ensuring that young people have access to high quality provision.
