
Trac Bursary Award As part of YWiCP commitment to providing opportunities for training and professional development, the TRAC Bursary Award to Adult Youth Workers has been introduced. This bursary is only accessible by organisations working with YWICP. Cumbria Youth Alliance Training Fund 'Sport England & Learning in Deprived Neighbourhoods Funding for Sport and the Outdoors' This fund is to support volunteers or part time workers who are providing sporting and outdoor activities for children and young people in Cumbria. It must enable volunteers/part time staff to be more effective and professional and increase the number of sporting/outdoor activities for young people across Cumbria.

Get Qualified in Lancashire and Cumbria - The University of Cumbria has been awarded £250,000 by Sport England to support the growth in training and skills in the sports sector, including outdoor sports.
Over the next two years (2008 - 2010), in collaboration with the County Sports Partnerships of Lancashire and Cumbria and with continuing support from SkillsActive, the Get Qualified programme aims to assist in the development of a quality sports workforce across these two counties and ultimately help to increase participation in sport and active leisure in local communities.
